Each jar contains 20 x H. Upmann Magnum 56, a magnificent cigar first seen in 2015 as a Limited Edition. They proved very popular for collectors and connoisseurs and quickly sold out. The re-appearance of these cigars presented in a stunning ceramic jar with a humidification source in the lid is sure to rekindle significant fond interest.
Originally intended for sale exclusively in Travel Retail shops around the world, Habanos S.A. have sanctioned the release of a limited number of these beautiful ceramic jars for sale in domestic markets. This is in part due to the on-going travelling restrictions due to the pandemic.
Ceramic jars have been used to house Havanas since the late 18th Century and today many experts agree that they remain one of the best options for long term ageing.
Herman Upmann was a banker from Germany who so loved Cuban cigars that he moved to Havana in 1844 and set up as both banker and cigar maker. His bank closed in the early 1920’s but his cigars live on as a fine example of an elegant, light to medium flavoured Havana cigar.
H. Upmann’s blend is composed exclusively of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo ,Cuba’s premier cigar growing region.
