Undercrown Shade has its roots on the factory floor in Esteli Nicaragua. This is the cigar that the Torcedores(Cigar rollers) initially made to satisfy their need for a daily high quality smoke.
Drew Estate is a company that listens to its people. Within a few years the Drew Estate Undercrown Cigars became one of the company’s best selling lines.
A few years later ,Drew Estate’s Master Blender, Willy Herrera went back to the factory floor and asked them do it again. But this time, they discussed the crafting of a unique medium bodied line extension that is creamy, lush & ultra smooth, which only a Shade wrapper could deliver. The best shade wrapper comes from Connecticut, obviously the Drew Estate Shade range only uses these beautiful shade wrapper leaf.
Back to basics, from the ground up is their way and they dug deep to ultimately create a majestic blend of select vintage Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, finished off with a flawless Shade wrapper that delivers satisfaction in spades. And so it is with great pride that we share with you the Undercrown Shade, and the continuing success story from Drew Estate’s factory floor.
