Travel Humidors for Cigars

Frequently Asked travel humidors Questions

Are travel humidors worth it?

Travel humidors are worth it if you like to bring some of your collection with you when you go away. Loose cigars in a bag get crushed, dried out or soaked, whilst travel humidors keep your cigars safe and ready to enjoy. The waterproof Xikar 5 cigar case is enough for a weekend away, whilst the 15 cigar version covers a longer trip.

Can you keep cigars in a travel humidor?

You can safely keep cigars in a travel humidor for days or even weeks. For extra security, add a small Boveda pack to ensure the humidity holds. They are not designed as a permanent home, though, since the seals and the lack of Spanish cedar make them less stable over months. Use one for travel and keep a proper humidor at home. The 50-80 capacity case is the largest we stock.
