Montecristo Edmundo Cigar History
The Montecristo Edmundo is named after Edmund Dantes, the hero of the Alexandro Dumas novel “The Count of Montecristo”. It is a direct reflection of the growth in popularity of wider gauge cigars in recent years. Indeed there are now three distinct sizes within the Montecristo Edmundo range. This Cuban cigar is known for its smooth yet tangy taste, which is synonymous with the Montecristo Cigars and one of the reasons why they’ve managed to establish their name as one of the most prestigious in the world. The Montecristo Edmundo was the first variant of their standard cigar range since 1971 and delivers perfect combustion and ash. The flavour is predominantly salty and spicy, but provides a hint of sweetness along the way. This cigar is best smoked and enjoyed slowly.
