The Montecristo Petit Edmundo was developed as a direct result of the success of the Montecristo Edmundo cigar. The growth in popularity in large gauge cigars has coincided with changes in legislation that has made it more difficult to enjoy a lengthy cigar. hence the Montecristo Petit Edmundo was developed to enjoy the cool burning sensation of a larger gauge cigar but within a relatively short period of time. Indeed there are now three distinctive cigars within the Montecristo Edmundo family,all of them ideally placed for any occasion.

The name originates from ‘The Count of Montecristo’ by Alexander Dumas. The Edmundo range was named after Edmund Dantes the hero of the legendary novel. This was the favourite book to be read be to the cigar rollers in the factory when it was founded in 1935. A Montecristo is created by the perfect mix of strength and flavour in the filler,binder and wrapper leaves that are selected from the world renowned Vuelta Abajo region.
