First produced in 1834, Por Larrañaga cigars were the rarest of all of the cigars to come from Havana’s most legendary cigar maker – Ignacio Larranaga. Even today very little has changed. Each year only a small number or these hand-made cigars are produced. Much of the success of these cigars comes down to the varying price range – both affordable and expensive. Por Larranaga’s factory was the first to produce machine-made cigars; at the time this was considered extremely controversial and many workers even went on strike to protest this. Each cigar is produced by the exact same rollers who created both the H. Upmann and Montecristo range of cigars. The rich history of the Por Larrañaga all adds up to one of the finest, most exquisite tasting cigars to ever come out of Cuba.
