Frequently Asked Boveda Cigar Questions
Do Boveda packs bring down humidity?
Yes, Boveda packs are designed to bring down humidity when storing cigars. Boveda is two-way, so it absorbs moisture when your humidor is too damp and releases it when things get dry, holding a steady level either way. The 69% RH 60g pack is the usual choice for cigars, and there is a pack of 20 if you are stocking up.
What are the benefits of Boveda?
Boveda has many benefits when it comes to cigar storage, including no distilled water, no topping up and no guess work. You drop the pack in, and it holds your humidor at a set humidity until it stiffens up, at which point you replace it. That takes most of the fiddling out of cigar storage. A holder keeps the pack off your cigars and lets air circulate properly.
